Assignment Fox Cities

Thursday, Mar, 27 2014

A five-part series detailing the use and abuse of heroin in the Fox Valley
has been posted on our website, whby.com.
You'll hear stories from former users Doug Darby of Green Bay, Anthony
Alvarado of Appleton, and Cassie Nygren of Marinette.   They'll tell you what
heroin use has done to them physically, emotionally and spiritually.
State Representative John Nygren talks about state legislation aimed
at curbing the abuse.  MEG Unit Project Manager Brad Dunlap says it's
a major problem close to home.   It's not just a "big city" problem.
Take time to listen.  It's worth it.

Additionally, Mr. Nygren addresses legislation designed to get people off

Sex-trafficking, subjecting females to become sex slaves, is a topic
most of us would rather avoid.  But it's here, in the Fox Valley, in greater
measure than most of us realize.
5 Stones is a local organization formed to "fight the giant of sex-trafficking,"
not only here but throughout Wisconsin.   Founding member Connie Campbell
is passionate about the organization's work.
Campbell shares that passion in a two-part Assignment Fox Cities series,
heard Tuesday and Wednesday, February 25th and 26th.   To get a cross-section
of the listening audience, each program is carried three times:  6:45 a.m.,
12:45 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.
Both programs are worth a listen.  They may spur you to action and a
solution to the problem.
